Raindance 2024 COVID Policies
Let’s be frank. It appears that, in the last year, every dance weekend with optional masking has led to at least a few COVID infections. Still, the numbers of reported cases have been, statistically, low. Some people have also become infected at dance weekends that required masking. You should assume there will be some amount of active COVID virus available on the dance floor. You need to make your own personal choices on how to protect yourself.
- You will need to provide proof of a negative antigen test within 6 hours of first arrival at the hall.
- Masks are admired but not required.
- Vaccination is desired but not required.
- Anyone who tests positive or who has symptoms before or during the weekend needs to immediately remove themselves and notify the organizers. They will get a full refund.
- If someone becomes symptomatic or tests positive during the weekend, we ask all their traveling companions or roommates to self-test each day. We highly recommend bringing extra test kits for Saturday and Sunday.
- Do not come if there is someone else in the home who tests positive for COVID. After COVID, wait at least 7 days after you have a negative test result.
- If the COVID situation should change drastically (or if government regulation requires it) we reserve the right to change the policy—but not less than two weeks before the start of the weekend. If you do not agree with the new policy, you will get a full refund.
- In all cases, if you cancel or remove from the weekend because of COVID, you will get a full refund.
- We ask that you report to the organizers, all cases of COVID so that we may have full understanding of how well our policies are working. We will keep any reporting strictly confidential but we may make an anonymous report of just the number of cases that likely came out of the weekend.
- In the registration process you will need to agree to these policies.
